The 24h race 2019 at the Nürburgring was – as always – a unique experience for the guests of the SX Lounge. Besides the race highlights, SX provided a spectacular framework program. The guests of the SX Lounge were flown by helicopters over the Nordschleife and could have a special view over the field of 160 racers. Afterwards, our passengers reported on exciting overtaking manoeuvres and spectacular crashes, which they could observe and photograph from the helicopter. In addition, the walk through the pit lane was another highlight, where our guests had a look over the shoulder of the teams and drivers in the pit lane.
Also, in this year exciting contacts from industry and motor sport were under the guests of the SX Lounge. With a cool drink and a direct view into the pit lane, the guests were busy with networking. Furthermore, our guests could follow the livestream in the lounge via a 98" display of iiyama.
Next to the almost 300 guests at the SX Lounge, a total of over 200,000 motorsport enthusiasts visited the 47th edition of the 24h-Race at the Nürburgring. Audi Sport Team Phoenix with the Audi R8 LMS made it to overall victory after 156 laps. After 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017, it was Audi's fifth overall victory in the history of the 24h-Race.
