Despite an outside temperature of 32° C and bright sunshine, a large number of gamers, eSports enthusiasts and computer game enthusiasts gathered at the M-net Summer Games 2019 at the Olympic Lake.
After the third edition of the Summer Games, the program was extended this year with Simracing. Together with our partner Raceroom we built up a trailer in which eight gamers could compete in Simracing at the same time. The fight on the race track was accompanied by a receroom presenter, who heated up the race with a great atmosphere. We streamed the hottest race scenes on a large LED screen so that everyone had the perfect view of the action.
Via the time attack the top seven drivers qualified for the grand finale against ADAC GT4 Germany professional racer Patricia Stalidzane.
At the same time, Munich's best gamer was chosen on both FIFA stations. So he qualified directly for the final of the BFV eSport Cup powered by M-net. The qualifiers for the semi-final had to win at least three games in a row.
The football matches were also streamed on an LED screen and were accompanied by a moderator.
There was also a lot to win. Our partners Logitech and iiyama provided great prizes for the best gamblers. From gaming mice over gaming monitors up to simracing steering wheels and headsets, everything was there!
In addition to gaming, there were also other experience stations such as a flight over Munich with virtual reality glasses or testing the new e-scooters from MVG.
All in all, the visitors of the M-net Summer Games experienced a successful event next to the Munich Masch, which took place parallel on the Olympic area.
